• 5 drops or pinches of something sweet --sugar, honey, cocoa, or vanilla extract.

The agate, a stone of Mercury, helps you speak clearly. The sweetness helps you speak with a honey mouth, so you can make friends. The other herbs bring the social and attractive qualities of Venus.

Q: How Can I Learn to Trust in Love Again?

A:  When you've been badly hurt in love, you may feel that you'll never trust anyone again. It is only natural to want to take some time out of relationships in order to heal and regain a proper perspective on life. However, if you need a little help with the healing process, try this gentle potion.

Checklist:
Best to use on a Monday, at the New moon.
How often; This wonderfully soothing rite can be used whenever it is needed.

You will need:

• Almond Oil
• Wheat germ oil
• Rose, bergamot, and geranium essential oils
• A dark glass bottle with a cover
• A sheet of paper and a pen
• A green candle
• 2 White candles

Mix together two tablespoons of almond oil and two drops of wheat germ oil in a bowl, to form a base oil.

Add three drops of each of rose, bergamot, and geranium essential oils and mix by stiring them clockwise with your finger, saying the following three times:

Potion mix, potion start
Potion blend to heal my heart.

Decant the oil into a dark glass bottle but leave the cover off. Next, draw an upward pointing pentagram on some paper and place on your altar.

Put the bottle of healing oil on top. Form a triangle around the bottle with one green candle at the back and two white candle at the sides. Light the candles and envision spiraling golden energy being drawn from above and below into the triangle and into the bottle.

Chant:
Healing come, healing start
Mend the break across my heart
Magick powers, below and above
Restore again my trust in love, 
For as long as the candles burns,
Let this mill of magick turn.

Let the candles burn out. Put the cover on the bottle. label it, and store in a cool place. every night before you sleep, anoint your heart chakra with the oil and say:

I heal my heart and trust again.

The oil can also be used as a massage oil, or a few drops can be added to your bath.

Bindings

Sometimes no matter what we do, we get into confrontational situations. It's tough. Particularly guys who are into witchcraft may feel a bit different from the rest. When you are in high school, people love to point out and pick on differences to make themselves feel better. Sometimes all we can do is stand tall and not be ashamed of who we are.

If you find that a specific person is picking on you or purposely causing you harm, you can do a binding spell. Binding spells simply block the harmful intention and energies that someone has directed toward you.

Often the result is that the person who is causing problems simply leaves you alone and doesn't really know why. They could simply be distracted by something else, have a change of heart, or not easily find you.

This binding spell does not harm the person. Even though you may feel tempted to retaliate when someone wishes you harm, remember the Law of Three and the Wiccan Rede. Binding neutralizes harm without continuing the cycle.

Start by lighting a white candle. Charge it for protection, then cleanse or smudge a bottle or jar that you can seal up tight. Write the name of the person who is harming you on a piece of paper. Put the paper in the bottle. Then put the following into the bottle:

3 tablespoons of sea salt
1 teaspoon each of any three protection herbs you choose (I prefer frankincense, myrrh, and vervain myself. I've also added various combinations of cinquefoil, sage, St. John's wort, rue, and yarrow.)
 9 nails (if you don't have iron or steel nails, you can use the needles of a cactus too.)
Water, enough to fill up the rest of the bottle.

Close the bottle and shake it up. Take the candle and drip wax on the bottle to create a seal around the lid or cork. Make sure you have something beneath it, such as a bowl or thick cloth, to catch wax that may drip off.

When you are done, you can either bury the bottle somewhere it will not be disturbed or put in the freezer to "cool off" the situation. As long as the bottle is not opened, the binding will last. If you want to break the spell, you can open the bottle.

* Only use this spell when someone purposely means you harm or is intentionally bully you.

Getting Rid of an Unwanted Lover

It's best to do this spell on a Saturday during the waning moon and it be windy.

Banishing
Items needed:

1. a piece of white paper, write on it the name of an unwanted lover (use black ink) and think of the person running away.
2. Light a white candle
3. Burn the piece of paper in the flame (use an ashtray or campfire - something fire proof).
4. Go to the yard, patio or somewhere outside.
5. Burn the paper
6. Place the ashes on the back of the unturned palm of your right hand and hold it up.

and say:

Winds of the North, South, East and West.
Carry these affections to where they'll be best.

Let his/her heart be open and free
and let his/hers mind be away from me.

Then blow all the ashes so that they scatter into the wind.

and say: 
So Mote It Be!

Countdown Spell

Do you have a goal that seems difficult to reach? Would you like to change yourself or improve your life in some way? Whatever your personal goal may be, if it's reasonable and feasible, this simple but powerfully effective spell can help you to achieve it.

Casting a spell is not enough to reach most goals, of course You must also make practical efforts, such as working out, saving money, attending classes, or whatever your goals requires.

For this spell you will need:

• Paper
• a writing implement (Use a freshly sharpened pencil if you wish to erase your goal to keep it confidential.)
• a stick of incense
• Optional: If you happen to own a sapphire, garnet, or turquoise ring, wear it on your projective hand while you cast the spell or work it afterward.

Preparation

Clearly and specifically identify your goal. This is a crucial part of the spell, so give it careful consideration. Meditation helps with this.

Next, consider paths to your goal, and formulate the least one action plan. Set a realistic time period for reaching the goal. This might be one month, one year, five years, or another length of time, depending on the nature of your goal.

The Spell

 Once your goal is clear in your mind, get into a magickal mood. Gather the spell materials, and place them on the altar or other working surface. Raise power, and create sacred space around your working area. Light the incense.

Concentrate on your goal, and visualize it as already achieved. For example, if your goal is to finish school, you could envision yourself waving your diploma in the air at the graduation ceremony; if your goal is to buy a house, you could see its key in your hand as you unlock the door on moving day. Once your visualization is complete, take a mental snapshot of it, and keep your focus on that as you proceed.

Hold the writing implement in the incense smoke, and concentrate on charging its ink or lead with magick. Do this until the incense burns itself out, then ground power and clean up. Leave the writing implement in the moonlight overnight, perhaps on a windowsill.

The next day, use the pen or pencil to write your goal at the top of the paper. If you are using a pencil because your goal is confidential, write it down and then erase it. No one will be able to read your goal, but the paper will still be imprinted with it.

Count the days that you have allotted for reaching your goal, and write this number beneath it. If your time frame for the spell is lengthy, you may need to tape several sheets of paper together. Hang the paper in a place where you will see it every day, such as on a closet door.

Begin the countdown. Each morning, from then until the goal is achieved, use the charged writing implement to cross off the number at the top of the page and write the next lower number beneath it. For example, if you have allowed one year to reach your goal, you will be writing 365, 364, 363, 362, and so on, as the days pass. Say this affirmation (or an affirmation of your own devising) aloud each morning when you cross off a number and write a new one:

I am strong. I am determined.
Nothing will distract me, divert me,
or prevent me from reaching my goal.

Afterward

Continue the countdown. Take at least one small step toward your goal every day, and you are likely to achieve it before the countdown is finished.

Star of Hope Spell

Do you have a secret hope? Something you have never told anybody?That hope is not likely to ever be realized unless you do something about it. One magical action that your can take is to communicate your secret hope to the Universe.

This spell will do that, so do not cast it (or even think about casting it) unless you are absolutely certain that you want your hope to be realized. You should feel hopeful while you cast this spell,so don't attempt if you are feeling sad, negative, angry, or pessimistic.

It can be cast at any time, but it is best begun on the night of a New Moon (use a calendar to time it), and completedon the night of the next Full Moon. The spell is most powerful if the Sun or the Moon is in Aquarius on either night (an astrological almanac will have that information).

You will need:

• the Star card from a tarot deck (One from any tarot deck will do, but if you have a choice, use a card that depicts a woman pouring water from a jar.)
• a tin box ( No substitutions, it must be tin. The container can be any shape, but it should have a cover and be large enough to hold the tarot card. The tins in which biscuits and crackers are sometimes packaged are good for this purpose. You can use the box as it is, or you can paint it, line it, or decorate it, if you feel this will enhance your spell.)
• a white feather
• a piece of paper (any sort of paper will do, but it's nice to use high-quality paper.)
• a pencilwith an eraser
• two sticks of incense (any kind is fine, but use violet if you happen to have it.)
• a pentacle (any type will do, even the symbol drawn on a piece of paper.)
• Optional: If you happen to own an opal ring, wear it on your projective hand while you cast the spell.

Preparation:

Get into amagickal mood. Assemble all of the spell ingredients, and create sacred space for the working. Place the pentacle on your altar or other working surface, with its top point facing East. Center the box on the pentacle.

The Spell:

Light one stick of incense, and raise power. Put the tarot card in the middle of the box, then close. it. Open your hands and hold them over the box, with your palms facing downward.
Focus on your hope, and say;

Goddess Pandora, Giver of All Gifts,
I thank you for giving us
The powerful gift of hope.
I name this box Pandora's Box.
If it will do no harm,
I ask you to fulfill the hope
That you will find within it.

Use the pencil to write your secret hope on the paper. Be totally honest and very specific about what you hope for. Erase what you have written. Your hope will still be a secret, but the paper will contain it nonetheless.

Open the box, and put the paper in it under the tarot card. If you must fold the paper in order to make it fit, fold it three times. Place the feather on top of the card, then close the box.

Ground the power that you raised, and clean up. Keep the box atop the pentacle, and put them in a safe place, such as beneath your bed or on your altar. Leave them there for two weeks or until the Full Moon, if you began the spell on the New Moon.

Do not open the box until you are ready to complete the spell.  If possible, keep the top point of the pentacle oriented toward the East. Concentrate on your hope during this period, focusing on the exact form that you want its fulfillment to take.

When you are ready to complete the spell, put the box, pentacle, and the second stick of incense on your altar or other working surface. Orient the top point of the pentacle toward the East, and remove the feather from the box. Close it, and place the incense atop the box. Get into a magickal mood. Light the incense, and raise power.
Use the feather to fan the smoke upward as you say:

Goddess Pandora, Giver of All Gifts,
Anesidora, She Who Sends Up Gifts,
Receive my hope!

Repeat this phrase as many times as seems necessary to you while the incense burns. Visualize your hope ascending to a place where the entire Universe will sense its reverberation.

When the incense is half spent, begin talking to Pandora. Speak to her sincerely, in your natural voice, as you would to a friend whom you are asking for an important favor. Explain why you hold this hope and what outcome you would like to have when the hope is fulfilled.

This is a very important part of the spell, because omitting it can cause the spell to go wrong. Suppose your secret hope is to get a certain job.

Without specifying the outcome, you might get the job because you cast this spell, but find that the job makes you so miserable that you wind up leaving it.

Talk to Pandora until the incense has finished burning. Thank her for listening, then end the spell. Ground the power that you raised, and put the tarot card back in its deck. Bury the paper, because Pandora is an Earth goddess. You can reuse the box and keep the feather as a charm if you like, or bury them with the paper.

Broadcast Love Spell

If you hunger for love (or a lover) to enter your life, this spell is for you. It can be cast at any time, in any place where you have privacy and will not be interrupted, but it is best cast outdoors, from a balcony or other high place.

Optional: incense, music, candles, ritual garb, or whatever helps you alter your consciousness.

The Spell

Get into a magickal mood, and focus on your need. Lust and longing have different energy signatures, so be honest with yourself, and be clear about what you will be casting for. Raise power around that need. Concentrate on it, and form its raw emotion into a beam that you direct outward through your third eye. This is your call, which will draw someone to answer it.

Say aloud:

"I call from need, not from greed.
I call only that which will be good for me,
and do no harm to me or to others."

Mean it when you say this, becuse it is crucial to the ultimate success of the spell. The tricky part of this spell isn't getting someone to respond, it's getting the right person to answer. Form your projective hand into a "megaphone,".

Hold it to your forehead over your third eye. Feel the power of your need and of the beam that directs your call. Envision the narrow beam radiating outward, like a sound wave, as it leaves your body. If it helps your visualization, picture the beam as having a color or sound. Amplify the power of the beam until it is strong enough to be sensed across your neighborhood, your town, or whatever calling area you have chosen.

Depending on where you are casting the spell, there will either be an arc of open space in front of you or a circle of open space around you. Slowly cover the entire open area with your hand to your third eye as you do this. If you hope that the person who answers your call will come from a particular direction, spend extra time focusing your beam there.

Sweep outward with your beam until you feel that your call has been fully transmitted. Ground the power that you raised, and leave that place. Eat something if you have trouble shaking off your magickal mood.

Afterward:

This spell will manifest within ten days if your call has been strong enough. It will take longer o need to be repeated if you did not raise sufficient power.

Be open to new things while you are waiting for the spell to work. Break your habitual patterns. Do different things, and take advantage of opportunities to meet new people. If you have any preconceived notions about what the person who answers your call should look like, or be like, forget them. Be willing to be surprised, and wait expectantly.

If you have cast this spell twice, and two cycles of the moon (two months) have passed without a response, it means that there is no one suitable in you calling area. Wait a few months and try the spell again, or go to a new location and cast it from there.

Q: Can Sex Magick Improve Other Areas Of My Life?

 A: Sex magick and magickal sex are often associated with the ancient Eastern belief system of tantra. In fact tantra encompasses more than mystical beliefs, such as the principles of meditation, yoga, and ritual, and it is a term that is often misunderstood. Nevertheless, tantric sexual practices have had much to teach the West about the power and beauty of sexual energy.

Here is a small and simple ritual adapted from Eastern wisdom that can be used to improve your life through harnessing the power of your own sexuality. However, as it is a ritual done in the spirit of love and sharing, do not use its power anything selfish or abusive.

Items needed:

• Frankincense essential oil
• Almond oil
• A loving and willing sexual partner (optional)
• A red candle

Checklist:
Best to use: When you have a particular, important goal in mind, or for healing or helping others.
How often: Not to often - this can be a very powerful form of magick and should not be overused.

Mix one drop of frankincense essential oil with two teaspoons of almond oil and put aside for later. Before your night of pleasure, prepare yourself by taking a long, dreamy, candlelit bath full of your favorite scent. Spend your soaking time visualizing what it is that you want to achieve. Upon getting out, wrap yourself in a bathrobe until dry. Place a dab of the frankincense and almond oil on your finger and anoint your body in the following three places; the third eye; over the heart; and just below your navel. As you do so, affirm the following: saying,

I anoint myself for this magical rite
The power I shall raise this night 
Is for the purpose of [state your purpose].
So shall it be
So shall it be
So shall it be.

Just before making love - either with a partner or yourself, light a red candle. Remember that the sexual act should be loving and not rushed; it is not merely the means to an end. At the point of orgasm, visualize your needs again strongly - I admit, this may take a little practice and imagine all of you released energy taking your wish out into the universe. Afterward, do not dwell on what you have asked for; just let it go and see what happens

Q: How Can I Feel Good About Being Single When All My Friends Are With Someone?

Do you spend nights feeling lonely and unloved because all your friends are in relationships, and you're not? The chances are that those friends who are in long term relationships could actually be envying your freedom. But that's no help when you have the lonesome blues. Thy this empowering self-affirmation ritual to make you feel positively single.

Arrange to have a night free of interruptions. Avoid the television, take the phone off the hook, and forget the housework (how often do you get to hear that, lol) Prepare the room you will do this ritual in by laying everything you need on a low altar with a cushion in front of it. Decorate the room with extra candles or flowers - be extravagant, remember you are honoring you! Prepare yourself by having a long, scented, candlelit bath before dressing in your favorite clothes, makeup, and jewelry.


Sit on the cushoin and light two violet candles and your favorite incense. Place a garland of flowers on your head. Gill goblet with red wine and look into it. As you stare into its blood red depths, visualize everything you can do without having to worry about someone else's feelings or plans.

Maybe you see yourself shopping without having to worry about the inquisition when you get home. Or watching your favorite television show without interruption. Whan you have exhausted your daydreams, say:

" I am queen of my own universe, Ruler of my destiny.
I am at one with the sun and the moon and the stars.
All of nature is in me.
I am content with what I have and ai trust in a higher
power that all is as it should be.
I now claim my right to happiness".
As I dance toward the worderful future that awaits me.

Drink the wine and spend the evening thinking of all the amazing things that have happened so far in your life. Of the battles you have fought and won, or lost and learned from. Remind yourself how wonderful you are!

Nursery Spell

This is for all the soon-to-be parents...

Preparation for the arrival of a new baby often includes making a bedroom ready. This spell can be used whenever those preparations include painting or wallpapering the room that is to be the nursery.  It is best cast by the child's parent(s) or grandparent(s) but could be cast (with) permission by someone else who cares about the baby. The spell provides extra protection for a baby, but the parent(s) must of course still take normal precautions and take excellent care of the baby in order for this spell to work

You will need:

• a pencil or other writing implement ( Use a pencil if you will be painting the room, something heavier if you will be putting up wallpaper).
• Myrrh incense

Preparation

Empty the room completely. Open the windows to air it out and clean the room thoroughly. Be sure to clean any closets as well. Keep scrubbing and sweeping or vacuuming until you feel that the room is devoid of whatever vibration it previously held.

The Spell

Get into a magickal mood, and create sacred space in the clean room. Bring in the incense, and light it. Envision the nursery as a place of safety and happiness for the baby. Raise power, and pour all your love for the baby into the room. Fill the room with that love, and visualize it being absorbed into the walls, floor and ceiling.

While the incense burns, inscribe the names of the following gods and goddesses upon the walls. Say each sentence aloud as you write the name of the deity. Change the wording as appropriate for gender, for a multiple birth, or to include the baby's name.

On the door or above the doorway, write: "VOLUMNA, to protect the nursery. PILUMNUS, to guard this baby, from birth until it reaches the safety of this room".

Near the place where the baby will sleep, write: "ARTEMIS,  to protect this baby. JUNO, to watch over this baby. DEVERRA, to safeguard this baby. LAIMA, to look after this baby. INTERCIDONA, to keep this baby safe."

On any wall write: "POTNIA, to make sure this baby is well nourished. BES, to give this baby the gifts of laughter and safety. LUCINA, to protect this baby's eyesight. JUNO LUCINA, to keep this baby healthy. THE ZORYA,  to ensure that this baby is always well cared for. THE SEVEN HATHORS,  to bless this baby's future."

Remain in the room until the incense finishes burning. (Light another stick or add more myrrh to the censer, if needed.) Look around the room and feel the difference that your work has made in its spirit of place. Visualize a happy, healthy baby sleeping, laughing and playing there.

Ground the power that you raised once your visualization is complete, and the incense has burned out. You can now paint or wallpaper the room, and then furnish and decorate it.




Spells for the Solitary Witch

Banishing Spell

This will protect without causing the person bound any harm.

Materials needed:

• black taper candles
• Alter candles
• nail
• black cloth
• red ribbon (1inch width, small spool)
• cotton
• needle
• thread
• loose tobacco
• a small mirror that can stand by itself

Fold the cloth in half and cut out a tough shape of the person you want to bind.

Make the figure large enough so that you will be able to stuff it after you have sewn
it together.

Sew the pieces of the poppet together, leaving a hole through which you can
stuff the poppet.

Fill it with cotton and tobacco, and if you have the hair or nail
clippings of the person, add those to it.

Once it is filled, sew the opening closed.
if you have a picture of the person, sew it to the front of the poppet.

Next, carve the name of the person onto the black candle with the nail. Cast a circle,
invoke the elements, God or Goddess you are working with.

Light the altar candles.
Light the black candle and adjust the mirror so that flame is reflected in the glass.

Hold the poppet out in front of you and say:

"Creature of cloth thou art,
Creature of flesh and blood you be.
I name you (name of person you are binding).
No more shall you do me harm.
No more shall you repeat false tales.
No more shall you interfere in my life, nor in the lives of my loved ones.
By the power of the Gods and by my will, So Mote it Be!"

Draw an invoking pentagram over the poppet.
Now take the ribbon and begin to wrap the poppet like a mummy,
leaving no space unwerapped. Say:

"I bind your feet from bringing harm to me. 
I bind your hands from reaching out to harm me.
I bind your mouth from spreading false tales to harm me.
I bind your mind from sending energy to harm me.
If you do so continue, let all negative energy be cast and reflected directly at you!"

Tie off the ribbon and hold the poppet in front of the mirror while you visualize all
negative energy this person has sent to you being reflected back at them.

Wrap the poppet in the black cloth and tie with another length of ribbon. Say:

"Great Mother, I have bound this person from 
harming me and my loved ones. By the powers of three times three, 
By Earth and Fire, Air and Sea, I fix this spell, then set it free.
Twill give no harm to return to me. As I will, So mote it be!"

Let the candle burn out while the poppet sits at its base, then take the poppet and
the remains of the candle far from your home and bury it deep in the ground or
toss it in the ocean and walk away without looking back. 

Make sure this is what your heart really wants before doing this spell.

Q: Can I stop him from falling asleep right away?

 

A: It's so frustrating, isn't it?

After great sex you want an intimate, loving cuddle and a chat, but instead you get a turned back and almost immediate snoring. You could try kicking him awake, but it's not very romantic and he won't be happy about the bruises. So instead, why don't you try this herbal potion, full of plants that are reputed to keep the mind fresh and active?

Lay a white handkerchief in front of you on the floor. Make sure it is clean and new for the purpose of the spell. Place a red stone in the center or the handkerchief -- red is the color of energy so its vibrations should help keep him awake. Place a single drop of patchouli essential oil on one corner of the handkerchief. Then put a drop of peppermint essential oil on the next corner, basil essential oil on the next corner, and lemon essential oil on the last corner. Gather up the edges of the handkerchief and tie the pouch together with red ribbon. Now stand up and shake the bag, feeling the stone move as you do so.

Repeat the following:

"This charm I shall shake
To keep you awake
Your company to keep
Touching and sharing
Kisses and caring 
Until at the last
We BOTH shall sleep fast".

Place the charm under the mattress, on his side of the bed, and look forward to a little caring consideration after making love.

Healing Spells

To heal from a distance

If a friend or family member would appreciate a healing spell, you can use this spell to send healing even if they are not present. This is not a replacement for medical care, but it may help the healing process. As always, cast a spell on on another person only with their consent. Needed:

• A small doll or poppet. If you do not have one, you can shape a human figure out of something like clay or even dough, or you can draw one onto a piece of paper.
• Any stone that represents healing. Stones for healing include amethyst, rose quartz, clear quartz, jade, red or green jasper, lapis lazuli, sodalite (especially good for emotional healing), or a piece of copper (especially useful in relieving pain). In general, any pink, green, red, or blue stone will work. If using a penny for copper, use one that was minted before 1982, when the composition was changed to be mostly zinc.
• A white, pink, blue, green, or red candle (optional)

Cast a circle. Work by a candle, if you like. You may choose to carve a rune or symbol for healing onto the candle prior to lighting it. Take the doll or drawing and bless it, defining it as representing the person to be healed. If you like, you may write the person’s name on it. Speak the following incantation over it:

"Figure of cloth, heed my will
Become the person I wish to heal"

Replace the word cloth with clay, paper, etc., as is relevant. Visualize the figure becoming the intended person, projecting how you see that person onto it. Imagine it as having the qualities and personality of whoever you’re healing. 

Take your time, because the more this figure is linked to the person in your mind, the more effective this spell will be. When you are ready, hold the stone in your hand and say:

"Healing stone with the power to mend
Bring pain and sickness to an end"

If you are using copper or another metal, replace the word stone with metal. If using a penny, you can say coin. Visualize whatever you’re using glowing with healing energy and light. Then slowly, and gently but firmly, drag it across the doll or figure. Touch it and rub it in small circles against any part of their body that you know to be particularly affected or painful. If you don’t know where the affected areas are, then simply focus on the entire figure. As you do, visualize the healing energy going into the figure until it, too, is glowing with a peaceful, healing light.

Imagine, as clearly as you can, the intended person returning to perfect health. Call to mind what they look like, being sick, and then watch them in your mind’s eye change to look healthy and happy. Will the change to happen. When you’re finished, hold the stone on top of the figure, either in the center of its chest or on top of the afflicted area (if it is very specific to one area, that is), and say:

"I will it so, and with this spell
May s/he be happy, healthy and well"

You may replace the pronoun with the person’s name, if you wish. Visualize a final burst or pulse of light going into the figure, driving out all sickness and pain. End your rite and close your circle. 

You may leave the figure and the stone on your altar for awhile, or you can put both away in a safe place together. Keep the stone and figure together until the person gets well. When s/he returns to health, bury the stone and figure or, if you wish to re-use them later, clear them of all past energies with a cleansing ritual.
